Why we have
to create drop-down menus in our blog?
If you have
created drop-down menus in your blog, the chances of getting AdSense approval
will increase. Because by adding drop-down menus in our blog, it will become
user friendly. User-friendly means, it will be useful for viewers to find the articles
on the topic that the visitor is looking for. So, if you categorize and create
sub-menus or drop-down menus in the blogger, it will be useful for your
blog visitors and also get the AdSense Approval fast for you.
Process:
- 1. First open your blogger portal and log
in to your account.
- 2. After logging into blogger.com,
Click on the layout option.
- 3. After clicking on the layout option, you
will see the layout of your blog. in the layout of your blog, click on the edit
option of the top main menu option or the main menu option. ( Edit the menu, where you
want to add a drop-down menu ).
- 4. After clicking on the edit option, then the interface will look like this:
- 5. If you didn’t edit the default
menu options, the interface will look like that. You can edit or delete any of those menus.
- 6. To edit the menus, click on the edit
option and add the name that you want to display for your menu in the name
section. In the URL section, you have to provide the link to the label.

- 8. To get the link to the menu you want:
- Go
to your posts and give the name of the menu as a label to all the posts that you
want to appear on that menu option.
- And
also, delete the menus that you don’t want.
- 9. After giving the menu name as the
label to all the posts that you want to appear under a menu option, go back to
the configure link list.
- 10. Enter the name of your menu name and
change the “labelname” to the name of your menu in the below link and then save.
Or if you are creating a new link click on add link.

- 11. After creating the major menu of
your drop-down menu, create a sub-menu of your drop-down menu. To create it place
an underscore before the name of your sub-menu of the drop-down menu. And you also
have to add the labels of the menu to your blog posts and change the label name to
the submenu in the above link.

- 12. After entering the submenu name and its
link. Click on the add link and place that menu option under the menu option which you
want to appear at the top as the major menu of the drop-down menu.

- 13. The menu order will appear as how
you arrange the menus here. The menus with underscores to their names will
appear as submenus to the menus at their top. So arrange the menus as you want.
After arranging the menus, simply click on save.

- 14. After saving, if you refresh your
blog, you can observe the dropdown menu. To create a submenu for sub-menu, you
have to add another double score to the name. it means you have to give two underscores before the name.
